A Little Bit of Showbiz

The day after the field trip, Warner was part of a program at school, "A Little Bit of Showbiz." The 1st-6th grade have been learning songs from showbiz throughout the year. They had a little production and performed for the parents. It is amazing what Mrs. J (their music teacher) can do with these kids.  It was so cute!!
Paxton & Warner

Memphis Botanic Garden

Warner's 1st grade class went on a field trip last week to Memphis Botanic Garden Festival of Flowers, and I got to go with him! They learned about the life cycle of the butterfly, the amazing flower story, planted spring flowers, and did hands-on crafts. It was such a neat place to visit.

Easter 2013

We have seen so much rain this weekend, but we weren't gonna let that stop us from enjoying our Easter!
Yesterday we started off with an egg hunt at the boy's school. They has a little craft, told a story, and then they hunted eggs down the halls & in the classrooms.

We spent the rest of the day with cousins at JoJo & Pops house. We had a redneck egg hunt in the shop next to their house - making the most out of lots & lots of rain! Warner found the golden egg!

 Face painting!

We've had a little break in the rain today. We had a wonderful Easter service and then lunch at JoJo & Pops. Such a fun weekend, and so thankful we have one more day off before school starts back.

I love my family!

Happy Easter!!

January, February, & March

I took a little unintentional break from the blog...so here I am to catch up! I can't believe how fast the year is already flying by - tomorrow is April 1st - how did that happen?
We have been busy in the Lively house! Jackson started school in January. I debated about this forever! I knew he wasn't ready to start in August since he has such a late birthday, but he was begging to go. I had to stop being so selfish and let him go! He LOVES it!! He gets out of the car with the biggest smile on his face and runs to his teachers! I love seeing that same smile when I pick him up. He has already learned so much, and I know it was the right decision to let him go.

Mommy started school too!!! I wasn't really looking for anything, but it just kinda happened. Funny how God gives us just what we need even if we aren't looking for it. I am working two days a week at the boys school doing public relations - basically it's all the things I love- taking pictures for the school, keeping the website current, keeping parents informed and involved. So far it has been wonderful and it is just enough to give me something outside the house, but keeping my main focus on my family. The best part is I can see my boys any time I want!

Valentine's parties!!

We had a fun weekend with the Burton's in Memphis, spent the night in a hotel, swam, and went to the Monster Jam show! I think the boys would've been perfectly content staying at the hotel swimming.

Peabody ducks!

I have no idea how he slept through that LOUD LOUD show!

The next weekend we went to a rodeo! SO much fun!!

Jackson sleeps in many strange places now that he has given up his nap....clearly he still needs it!

At the end of February Warner's class performed their play - Fruits of the Spirit. SO SO GOOD!! I have said it a million times - SO SO thankful for our school!! It was such a blessing!

Farm & Gin Show in Memphis

Spring Break trip to Texas. My first time to drive and it's a long drive!! So thankful I had my aunt who traveled with us - she was a lifesaver!

Great Wolf Lodge - we spent our second night in Dallas at this great place - indoor water park! They had a blast going down the water slides, floating in the lazy river, and their favorite was the wave pool.

St. Patrick's Day
