msu homecoming

We headed to Starkville onFriday for Homecoming weekend. We had the best time - a great family weekend! We haven't had too much family time lately with harvest going on, so it was nice to just spend a little quality time as a fam. We went over to the Barrett's house when we first got to town and got to meet Betsy Gray & Bronwynne for the first time. They are so precious and so so different. That night the three of us went to eat at Harvey's - delicious!! Chris & I went there on our first date, so it was neat to take Warner to the place where our relationship began. Saturday morning we were invited to brunch at the Overstreet's house. Ketey's dad and my dad go WAY back - were friends as children and remain best friends to this day. Our families are really close and we try to get together as often as we can. Camp & Warner have a great time together and the adults get to catch up as well. Thanks again Overstreets & Rowells for a great breakfast!!

We headed over to our tailgate at around lunch time. Kate & Mason Dunn had their RV set up and invited some of us to tailgate. That is the life!! Having an RV to change a diaper, use the restroom, and let your toddler take a nap is awesome!! The kids played & played & played and the adults ate & ate & ate. We met up with my parents later in the day and walked to a few other tailgates before we headed into the game. The best part about the day was seeing our Bulldogs win!! GO STATE!!!

catch up

We had a busy week last week! On Monday,Warner & I got to keep Lucy Kate while her brother was having a little last minute surgery. (Please keep praying for little Bryant - he is suppose to be getting his trach out by the end of this month!) Lucy Kate was so much fun - Warner LOVED her a little too much. How do you get a 2 year old to understand that they have to be quiet while the baby sleeps?? He watched a lot of television that morning!!

Kissy came to see us Tuesday and stayed the rest of the week. She is always so much help to me! Aren't moms the greatest?? We made Halloween cupcakes with Warner one day....well, I baked them and let him decorate them. I was expecting a major mess, but all he wanted to do was eat the candy corn I bought to decorate them with - he didn't care for the icing at all.

more pumpkins....

stickers!!

This is what Warner looked like when we picked him up from the church nursery. Apparently Warner decided to take the stickers off his arts & crafts project and put them all over his face - he even had a couple in his hair! This is one silly little boy!!

Laurel High School - Class of 1998

We traveled to Laurel this weekend for my big 10 YEAR REUNION!! WOW, how time flies!! Being back there brought back so many great memories...I was one of those that LOVED high school!! We had a family night Friday and went to our high school's homecoming game. Warner was so busy...he scared us to death in the stadium by falling head first from one row to the next...in an all brick stadium!!! So we had to leave immediately and call our pediatrician. He was fine, THANK GOD - no bleeding, no loss of consciousness, no vomiting. Saturday night we had a cocktail party at the train depot with a DJ - SO MUCH FUN!! I loved getting to reconnect with so many people, some I had not seen or talked to since the day we graduated. AND...I finally got to meet Miss Mary Frances Osbirn - she's a doll!!
