one of my favorites...

family beach trip 2009

After a weekend in Blue Mountain Beach with my friends, I headed to Perdido Key to join my family for the rest of the week. We had such a great week - eating, rest & relaxation, and togetherness - I'm so blessed!! Thanks mom & dad for a great vacation - when are we going back?? Warner is like his mommy and LOVED the beach!! He would've played in the sand and water all day if we had let him...he is a little fish and loved the pool as well. He is so ready to swim on his own - told my dad one day in the pool when he didn't have his floaties on "just let me go under for a little while." Swimming lessons can't come soon enough! We stayed on the beach most all morning and afternoon. We would go in for lunch and naps and then go back out. It was such a great week that went by too fast!! Here are a few pictures....I'll put up some more throughout the week as I go through them.

long lost friends reunited

Jan, Laurin, Ginger, Lena, Lizbeth

I had so much fun catching up with these girls - it had been way too long (3 years for some of us). We met up at Jan's aunt's condo in Blue Mountain Beach!! It was beautiful! We ate, relaxed, read, ate, talked, and ate some more - see a trend here?!! The donut hole is calling my name!! Thanks Jan for having us!!

Jan & I are both pregnant and due exactly 2 weeks apart - I tried not to scare her too much about delivery and being a mom!! Can't wait to meet Sarah Blake in less than 2 months!

our busy week

Summer is officially here...and we have been BUSY!! We have not stopped all week, and Warner & I both are worn out (not to mention daddy who has worked daylight to dark for 2 weeks straight - that includes the weekends).
Monday we had a play date at Jack & Katie's house on their new slide that they used for their birthday party (that we missed). It was so much fun!! - for the kids and the adults. It's always nice to have a little adult time while the kids play. I can't tell you how many times these boys went down the slide - they were even going down head first at the end.

Tuesday & Wednesday we were at the pool - no pictures of this - I have to keep my eye on a little fearless boy! Warner is loving the pool even more this year. He loves to jump in and doesn't want my help at all!! Swimming lessons are a must this year!! Every year he gets more and more independent - kinda makes me sad!!

Wednesday afternoon we had his 3 year check-up - a few weeks late. He weighed in at 34 pounds and he was 38 inches tall. He had grown 2 inches in 3 months!! He is getting so big!! He had to have his finger pricked and did not like that at all. They also had to pin him down and get some wax (I know, gross!) out of his left ear - very traumatic for both of us! I took him to Wal-mart after the appointment and let him get a prize for being such a good boy. He is not ever going to want to go back to the doctor...

Thursday JoJo and I took Warner, Mason & Madison (2 of Michelle's children), and Ansley (our 2nd cousin) to this place in Memphis called Ultimate Pizza. You pay one flat rate for an all you can eat pizza buffet and then you put so much money on a card to play games. The kids had a blast - there was everything from a little golf course, to a miniature bowling alley, to bumper cars, to a jump house. It was a fun day!

We rushed home for me to join my friends for a little birthday celebration - Happy Birthday Mary Evelyn!! No pictures of this either...
Friday it was back to the pool and today we are taking it easy. It was a fun but busy week, and I don't see us slowing down any time soon!!

26 weeks

I debated about putting this picture up for the world to see, but it's only fair that Jackson's pregnancy is documented the same as Warner's was...

I had my 26 week doctor's appointment today. It was the first day to have the 3 ultrasounds (and I had to have the glucose test.) Our prayers were answered and everything is going great! The fluid levels are better than average, the baby's growth is right on target, and the blood flow was fantastic. My doctor was so pleased that she doesn't want to do another ultrasound for 4 weeks (not 3 weeks like was originally planned). We are feeling God's hand over this pregnancy and baby every step of the way. I am hot and having indegestion every night, but couldn't be more thankful for having those symptoms. Seeing him again today on ultrasound made me so much more anxious to meet him and hold him.

We took Warner with us to the appointment - I was surprised of how excited he was watching his little brother on the tv screen. He hasn't stopped talking about it! I can't wait to see these two together and pray that Warner will love him and want to keep him instead of wanting to give him away. It will be interesting!!

This was my favorite picture from today...I love these little toes!!

old mcdonald had a farm...

Gibson & Pat dressed Laurel & Warner up in their farmer clothes Friday afternoon before Warner's party on Saturday. The overalls Laurel is wearing were my dad's when he was a baby. I hope Warner loves his baby brother as much as he loves this little girl. He is pretty sweet to her...he did push her down once when she turned the television off while he was watching cartoons!! What is it with boys and their tv shows??

more birthday

One of the only pictures of the 3 of us from the day...not the best picture.
the birthday boy

Pops & Buddy in deep conversation

Meme & JoJo

We had to move everything in the garage because of the rain...not the plan, but it worked out fine.

Laurel and Gibson (my photographer) - Gibson helped me so much with the party - I can't even begin to list the things she did...she cleaned out my refrigerator!!!

He couldn't wait to get into that cake!!

Sam & Warner watching as the train is being set up.

I love this picture - look at Warner's hand on her shoulder.

the train was a big hit!!

Buddy & Laurel

Warner even got to drive.
Kissy & JoJo with Lucy Kate & Bryant Johnson...I wish I would've gotten a picture of all Warner's friends at his party - he is one lucky little boy to have so many friends show up in the rain for his party.

I still can't believe he's 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
