Growing Up!!

A couple of weeks ago, Warner came home from school and decided he was ready to ride his bike without training wheels. I helped him balance to get started, and I was prepared for lots of falls. He took off immediately. He was a little wobly at first, but he just kept riding over & over again. After a few minutes, he looked like he had been riding forever. He is so proud of his newest accomplishment..and as you can tell so is his mommy!!

Spring Break 2012

The morning after Amanda's Memorial 5K, me and the boys flew to TX for Warner's spring break. I have the best little travelers!

We hit the ground running the second we arrived - Mexican food and then the park.

There is so much for us to do in the area where my parents live. We usually just hit up the same spots every time we go. This time there was a new place we tried out called Urban Air. It is a warehouse kinda place full of trampolines. So. much. fun.

It was a great workout!

We met the Smith girls there and then later that afternoon they came over for dinner. These two are so silly together and get along so well.

Jackson has a new obsession with horses. Instead of just riding by them every day, pointing them out to him, and him saying, "where? where?" over and over again...we just pulled right on over and let him get a good look.

Can you tell he's happy?!

We love all the parks!! This one had so many neat things, but all Warner wanted to do was play in the sand.

We went shopping one day at my favorite mall, and these two were such troopers :)

more parks

Walking back home from the park one day, we decided to check out the fire trucks. The firemen were so nice and even let Warner get inside the truck.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!! My dad & I ran in a 5K in Dallas that morning and then we spent the day in Fort Worth. We ate at my favorite - Joe T. Garcia's.

Saw some more horses.

Fed some goats.

Rode a few rides at the Stockyards.

We loved spending the week with Buddy & Kissy!!

Amanda Price Memorial 5K

On Saturday, March 10, most of our graduate class (all but 2) participated in our former classmates memorial 5K. It was so good to see these faces again!! We had not all been together since we graduated in 2005, and we were very close during the two years we were in school. We had such a great time catching up! I love these girls and am so thankful God brought us all together. We never realized how much we would really need each other now. We miss you, Amanda!!

blocks, sleeping buddies, great weather, etc.

Jackson is loving blocks...he is very good and so proud of himself. He wants me to take his picture with his finished product.

At bedtime, Chris reads to the boys in Warner's bed. Then he calls me in the room and we say our prayers, and I usually take Jackson to his room. Jackson has been begging to sleep in WooWoo's room, so a few weeks ago on a Friday night we left him in there thinking this will never work...

and we never heard another peep. We let them go to sleep in the same bed and then we move Jackson to his crib.

We've been doing lots of homework around here. Reading!

and writing!

Kindergarten is hard work!!

We've had some beautiful, warm weather. Give these boys a screwdriver and some dirt and they're good to go.

I took a girl's trip to New Orleans this past weekend. I ran in a half-marathon relay (5.6 miles). The farthest I've ever run in a race! We had a great time!

me & my relay partner, Jennifer

the whole group- Jennifer, Kate, Lesley, me, Laura, Rachel, & Melissa

This weekend our whole graduate class will be participating in the Amanda Price Memorial 5K. These are the shirts we are wearing. I am so honored to have known this amazing woman, and I can't wait to run in her honor.

President's Day & Rodeo

Warner had red, white, & blue day at school on President's Day, and Jackson wanted to wear his red, white, & blue too!

B, they have loved these markers and paper...thank you!!

My little helpers in the kitchen. I still have memories of licking the beaters and bowl when my mom was baking!! I love making these memories with my two.

We heard there was a rodeo in Batesville and decided to check it out. Warner loves watching the rodeo on tv...especially bull riding. They both loved it!!

This is why mommy is never in a picture...

Valentine's & quick trip to Laurel

We got home from the LeBonheur emergency room at 12:30 the night before Valentines. I had planned on a Valentine's breakfast, but that just wasn't going to happen. I did make them a heart shaped cake...and that is always a big hit with all my boys!

Warner was out of school the end of the week, so we made a quick trip to Laurel to see their great grandmothers. My parents were in town for the funeral of our dear friend, Mitch Mauldin. I wasn't able to make in time for the funeral, but we did get to spend time with our family.
Meme's chair is always a big hit.

We had some beautiful weather.

And we all got haircuts!! My cousin, Jaime, is the best!

My dad's brother, Craig, and his family were in town the same weekend, so we got to spend time with them too.

Jackson, Sydney, B, Warner, and Cole playing play-dough.

So thankful for our families!!
