EASTER 2008

these are some pictures of Warner playing outside earlier in the week - too bad we didn't have this weather today...
this is his "cheese" face!
dying Easter eggs - Warner had so much fun!! He would just take the eggs and throw them in the cups, so we had dye everywhere!

Easter lunch with Chris' family - we always hunt eggs after lunch and there is REAL money in the eggs!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!!

Welcome to the World!!

Lucy Kate & Bryant Johnson were born today (not sure of exact time) at 34 weeks & 6 days. They are so precious!! Both are in the NICU, but both are breathing on their own - they are just being monitored closely since they are 5 weeks early. Lesley is doing great - and looks great too! We are so excited they are finally here!!

Sick Little Boy

Saturday night Warner woke up with fever - it lasted all night and pretty much stayed at 103 the whole night. We were up every 4 hours alternating Tylenol & Motrin. Sunday he was fine - no fever, or if he had any it was very low. Sunday night - fine. Well, that brings us to last night - woke up again in the early part of the night, so we put him in the bed with us to watch him close. At around 5:00 this morning I reach over and touch him and he is BURNING UP! I get the themometer - 103.5 - under the arm - oh my! We get up and start rubing him down with cold rags. I call the doctor first thing this morning. He has an ear infection (ugh! I just got back from the ENT!), and a sinus infection that has now moved to his chest. Poor baby!!
P.S. weight was the same, but he is now up to 35.5 inches long - he grew an inch & a half in 3 months! I knew his pants seemed to be getting shorter...

this is the combination of meds he's on - hopefully he will be better by Sunday. I missed his first Easter last year because I was sick, so I don't want any of us missing this one...

22 MONTHS!!

Warner is 22 months old today! Birthday party number 2 is in the works - invitations are ordered, plans are being finalized. It feels like just yesterday I was planning his first birthday party. Warner's vocabulary has really grown this last month. He amazes me sometimes by the things that come out of his mouth! He loves to label everything in our house- dada's keys, mama's car, dada's gum... Kissy left something in her room last time she visited and every time he sees it he says, "Kissy's". He still has a long way to go with his vocabulary - the amazing thing is he knows all kinds of words, but just refuses to use them - I asked him last week, "why don't you talk?" He looked right at me and said. "NO!" One of the funniest things he is doing right now is "singing" his ABC's - of course he doesn't know the whole alphabet, it's more like he's humming it, but it is the cutest thing. He loves to color, but would rather eat the crayons than color with them - ugh! This drives me crazy! He still refuses to eat anything but fruit, chicken, cheese, snacks, and really just junk! He will eat what he wants and then start protesting "out, out" - to get out of his highchair. It has now turned in to "out pease". He has 3 or 4 tractors and that is the only thing he plays with all day - tractors & trucks. This makes daddy very happy!! Maybe he will grow to love farming the way his daddy does. He has done a 360 with his by by (paci) - he wants it ALL the time!! I have been a bad mommy and I just let him have it. It makes him so happy!! I guess we will have to cross that bridge at some point! Warner is such a loving little boy - gives the best hugs and kisses and just loves to cuddle up to you and snuggle, but he has his moments...terrible two's are here and I'm sure here to stay! Warner's favorite thing to do is put on his frog boots and go outside - he could live outside! He loves to run around, pick up sticks, throw rocks in the ditches, and ride the golf cart, oh & look for airplanes - we have lots of crop dusters flying this time of year in the Delta, so he is constantly looking up for airplanes. Even when days don't go the way I had planned, or I'm up all night with a sick little boy (103 fever Saturday night) - I am so blessed to be Warner's mommy & I'm so thankful that God chose me. What an amazing little boy that God made!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LESLEY!!

We celebrated Lesley's birthday last night by taking her out to eat. Since she made it to 34 weeks, her doctor has given her more privledges....we took advantage of it!! Lesley & I met our first year of graduate school at Ole Miss - we had so much in common - we were both engaged to farmers, both were KD's, etc. She has been a great friend to me and I can't wait to share in the joy of these special babies.

I couldn't resist taking a picture of Lesley's belly - she is ALL belly!!

RAIN = mud puddles!!

This is just the beginning of an entire spring & summer spent outside. This little boy loves to be outside. If only I could figure out a way to get my cooking, cleaning, and washing done while being outside!!

First he found this puddle, then he found the ditches by the street - lets just say the boots weren't quite tall enough and he was soaking wet!!

dirty boy needs a bath!!

busy week

Yesterday, Warner & I met up with the Ritzmann family - Josh, Krista, & little Sophia - for lunch. It was great to finally meet this precious baby and see a friend I don't get to see near enough. Krista & I were college roomates. Josh was my brother's freshman roomate at the Air Force Academy. Krista & Josh met at my wedding and were married a year & a half later. It was so fun catching up - lets do this more often!

I don't know what I'm doing here, but it's cute of Warner & Sophie!

Today Warner had a follow up visit with his ENT in Oxford. He had PE tubes placed a year ago (3/19/07), so we have to go every 6 months for a check-up. Everything looks great! One tube is out & in the ear canal, so it should come out on its own in the next month. The other is still intact, but should also come out on its own within the next six months.

Sleepy boy on the ride home.
We are LOVING this pretty weather!! After lunch and nap, we met our friends at the park. You think he's happy to be there or what??
I turn my back for 2 seconds and he had crawled more than half way up the monkey bars - my little monkey!!

the sweetest blessings

I finally made it to Jackson to see my sweet nephews - Michael & Morgan. They are so precious! I could've stayed all week and loved on these babies!
doesn't Michelle look great?!!

Warner did NOT like mommy holding and loving on these babies, but he LOVED having playmates!! He & Mason are little buddies - they play so hard!

SNOW FUN!!

We woke up this morning to beautiful snow everywhere!! A group of us decided to go to the levee for some sledding and snow fights. We had a blast! We all three went down on the sled together. I felt like such a kid, but loved every minute of it.

REAL snow!!

We got LOTS of snow today - and it's still coming down. I know it wasn't the best idea for us to go out play in it with us both having a little cold, but we couldn't resist. Just thought I'd share some pictures of our "real" snow, since I had some comments from others (Laurin) about the little snow I posted about earlier this week!!
2 pair of socks, rain boots, fleece pants, turtle neck, 2 sweatshirts, fleece coat, rain jacket, and gloves - I can barely move!!

Rain Rain Go Away!!

We've been a little spoiled by this weekend's pretty weather...staying inside today was not fun for either one of us. We got a little bored, so we decided to start practicing for Easter egg hunting.

I love my mommy!! can we go outside??
PLEASE!!

wating on daddy to get home...we both get excited when we see his truck pulling into the driveway!!
