down by the river

The Sunflower River runs behind our house, down the big hill in our backyard. I've never been brave enough to take them down to it until recently. They would stay there all day throwing sticks in and watching them roll on down the river.

Johnson County Fair

We celebrated Lucy Kate & Bryant Johnson's 3rd birthday last weekend. Lesley really outdid herself with their cute party. There was a petting zoo, train ride, games, and lots of great food. Everybody enjoyed a beautiful day at the Johnson County Fair!

how cute is this cake?

Warner got to feed a baby goat!

they both loved the horse ride
Jackson did not want to get off!
the turtles were a hit too
I never got a picture of the cute birthday boy & girl :(
Happy Birthday Lucy Kate & Bryant!! We love you!

Buddy

These are more pictures from our Spring Break trip. They are priceless to me, and I thought they needed a separate post of their own. My dad is by far the most hands-on grandfather I have ever seen. My boys absolutely adore him...and I'm pretty lucky to call him my dad!

Spring Break 2011

My parents moved to the Dallas area right before Warner was born in 2006. It has been hard some days being 7 1/2 hours away, but it gives us a great place to visit and makes our time together that much more special. It doesn't make a difference for my boys. First, because they don't know any different, and secondly because they are just as close to them as they would be if we saw them everyday. We are thankful for webcams, for airplanes, for telephone calls, and most thankful for times we are together! Last week, the boys & I (we left daddy home to work) traveled to Dallas during Warner's spring break. We were busy, busy the entire week and our time went by way too quickly. We played outside, went to several different parks, had picnics, went out to eat, went shopping, and went on a TRAIN RIDE (their favorite).
Buddy & Kissy always have surprises waiting - golf clubs & plasma cars

Happy St Patrick's Day!!!
On our way to get on the train. All Aboard!!

The train takes you from Grapevine, TX into downtown Fort Worth - the Stockyards. Such a neat place!

Buddy & Kissy were a lot of help on the ride home! Ha! I have a feeling this is the way they feel when we leave too!!
Thank you mom & dad (Buddy & Kissy) for a great week!! We can't wait to plan our next trip.
