warner's room

It's not quite complete, but I thought I would go ahead and show some pictures. I had the draperies, bed skirt, & bench cushion made and just picked them up this weekend - it turned out so cute! Mary Evelyn is doing a painting to go between the beds and then it will be finished.

twin beds

lots of history in this room - picture frames were made out of wood from my grandmother's old beach house and the bench was part of the dining table at the beach house

this little dresser was in my nursery when I was a baby - it has been painted many times!

It turned out just like I had pictured. I LOVE it!!

back to reality...

Warner & I just returned from a fabulous week with my parents. It really STINKS that they live 7 hours away, but it also makes our time together so very precious. We had a full week as you will see in the pictures below. There is so much to do in Dallas, so we are always finding something different to entertain Warner. The park is still his very favorite and thankfully it is only a mile down the road, so we visit it everyday. Warner was all about his tricycle this trip and rode it all over my parents house, but he refuses to use the pedals! My parents bought him a kids size blow up bed and put in the floor of one of their guest rooms - he LOVED it! He would even tell me, "mommy, I sleepy. I go back to bed." As long as he has that bye bye (paci), his stuffed elephant, Gordan the choo choo train, and his blankets he'll sleep anywhere. We had a great week and can't wait to go back for Thanksgiving. I know my parents are probably so sad tonight to not have this little ball of fire in their house. Thankfully we will see them soon. We love you!!!! In Warner's words, "good night sweetheart!" "I wuv you!"
riding the train again - can you tell he's a little excited?
waving to the cars from the choo choo
waiting in line to eat at Joe T Garcia's - yummy!!
Dallas Aquarium - the best aquarium I've ever been to - it was wonderful!!

one of our daily trips to the park

feeding the ducks - well feeding himself, but suppose to be throwing it to the ducks

2 happy grandparents!!

when daddy's left in charge

I found these pictures on my camera this morning. Daddy was in charge this morning - he got Warner up, dressed him, and took him out to the farm. I didn't even have to get out of the bed!! He looks like a little farmer...

all aboard

This is what Warner does all day everyday. He LOVES his trains. The second we walk in Wal-mart he says I want a new train, mommy. He knows all of their names which totally amazes me. He wants to watch Thomas the Train movies and he sings Thomas the Train songs all day long.

I was sitting on the floor "indian style' and Warner came over and sat beside me and tried to do the same - it was the cutest thing.

He is soaking in everything we do and everything we say - kinda scary! I tell him all the time that he does not tell mommy and daddy "no". He looked at me the other day and said "mommy, don't tell me no". I'm in trouble!!

This was at the Catholic school fair last week. I think the title should read "teach 'em young!" I thought we would just skip this booth, but his daddy had other plans!!

day at the park

I gave Warner a choice of the park or the back yard and of course he chose the park. He LOVES the park - swinging, sliding, & climbing. The hard part is getting him to leave!

HAPPY B'DAY DADDY!!

I think it goes without saying that this little boy LOVES his daddy. His whole face lights up when he sees that white truck driving up the driveway. He runs to the back door and is ready to jump in his daddy's arms. He loves to ride in daddy's truck and go do things with his daddy. I say all this to say that I am so thankful for Warner's daddy. I am so thankful that I get to share this little boy with him, and that Warner and I get to celebrate his birthday with him. We love you!!! Hope your birthday is the BEST ever!!

here is a video of the cutest little version of the ABC's I've ever heard...

REAL haircut

Well, I just couldn't take it anymore and I took Warner to his personal hair dresser this afternoon - THANKS Mary Evelyn! It was getting a little out of control. AND for those of you who will look at these pics and say 'she didn't cut much' - Kissy!! - I promise it is a lot shorter. I have a zip loc bag full of curls for his baby book.
before pictures

after

I was a little worried that he wouldn't have curls anymore after the big cut, but I'm happy to report that after his bath tonight - the curls are still here!!!
this is a little 'sneak peak' of Warner's big boy room...when it is all finished I will take pics of the whole room - this is just a little tease...

my father-in-law made these awesome frames - isn't he great??

michael & morgan

We got to see these precious faces last weekend, as well as their mommy and 4 brothers & sisters. Warner loves his cousins and had so much fun playing. He and Mason are like "pete & repeat" - whatever one says/does the other is right behind.

In other news, I think it is time for a real haircut. What do you think?
