ALL BOY!!

Warner could stay outside ALL day!! He finally kinda got the hang of his "4-wheeler" today - the only problem was we were playing in the carport because of the rain and he almost took his head off with my car!!

so amazed by sticks, leaves, rocks, grass...

still loving his birthday balloon!!

"rain rain go away!!"

**Aunt Gibson and Uncle Pat made this onesie for Warner - under the "W" it says "The Precedent" - so funny!!

Mommy's Little Helper

Warner "helping" me empty the dishwasher.

Standing on his own, but when it's time to take a step he's still holding on.

I love it when he sits like this!!

I don't know if you can tell from these pictures, but Warner's hair is getting a little lighter - might be a blonde like his mommy!!

Happy Memorial Day!!

First of all, I'd like to give a shout out to my big brother - I am so proud of you!! Thanks for serving our country!! You are truly a hero...and I love you so much!!

We went to the lake yesterday with some friends. It was so much fun and relaxing!! Thanks Jennie and John!!!

Today Warner and I played outside and then went to a "pool party" with Jack, Katie, and Sam. Warner likes the pool a whole lot more when he has a playmate to swim with him.

Daddy's Helper

Chris has been so busy with farming this week...he has only seen Warner in the mornings for about 5 minutes before he heads out the door. When he comes home for lunch Warner is taking a nap and when he comes home at night (8:30 or 9:00) Warner is already in bed for the night. So, Warner and I surprised daddy this afternoon and went out to the farm for a visit. Warner had the best time playing with daddy!!! I'm sure as soon as he's old enough he'll be out there working instead of playing. Chris refers to it as "free labor".

The Gallery

Warner, JoJo, and I had lunch at the "The Gallery" in Merigold, MS today. After we ate we went over to McCarty's Pottery to look around and to see the beautiful gardens out back. It's just like the movie "The Secret Garden" - so neat!! If you ever go to McCarty's, make sure you check out the gardens - that's the best part.

Warner had a little accident in the restaurant and that is why he has on 2 different outfits!!

Feeling better

Warner is feeling so much better today - his fever is staying down and he is happy again!! Hopefully the fever will stay down and not go up tonight - that's when it's the worse. I am so glad to have his little personality back. He's been playing so hard this morning, laughing, and getting into trouble. He also stuck his finger down his throat during lunch and vomited all over the tray of his highchair...he thought is was funny, mommy did not!!

These pics were taken yesterday afternoon - he hasn't worn clothes in the last 2 days in order to help keep his fever down.

This is Warner's favorite birthday present - given to him by his Uncle Glenn, Aunt Michelle, and cousins Maggie, Matthew, Madison, & Mason. I cannot get him off this thing. If he's not riding it, he's standing beside it pushing it.

This is what Warner does when you say "touchdown".

This is what he does as soon as you start to sing "pat-a-cake".

I am so proud of myself!! I have managed to keep all my plants alive. Aren't these gerber daisies beautiful? I almost lost them a few days ago, but they hung in there.

Still Sick

Last night around 10:00, on one of my many checks I did all night, Warner was burning up!! So out of the bed he came and we discovered the fever was up again - this time to 103.1 - very scary!! I immediately call our pediactrician and we start the sponge bathing again to get the fever down with a mixture of Motrin and Tylenol this time. An hour later the fever was down. This morning he seemed to be doing good until right after lunch and I noticed he was burning up again. Another trip to the doctor this afternoon revealed that it is more than just shots giving him such a high fever. Turns out he has some sort of viral infection - sore throat and ear infection - that didn't show up until after the shots. The vaccinations only made it worse - had my doctor known this was in the works she never would have given him his shots yesterday. So, we have one sick little boy on our hands. Fever is still going up and down....not fun for baby or mommy!!

One year check-up

We went today for Warner's 1 year doctor's visit. NOT FUN!! Nobody told me it would be 5 SHOTS this time! The worst part was that after waiting FOREVER for the nurse to come back in with the shots, Warner was so tired he fell asleep - so in a dead sleep he is stuck with the first needle and jumps a mile and starts screaming at the top of his lungs. The next four had the same response. He was fine after about 1 minute of crying and we came home and ate lunch and he went down for his nap. A few hours after he woke up from his nap he started getting really fussy and clingy - it was then that I noticed how HOT he was. He had 102.7 temp - YIKES!! After 3 calls to the doctor with different instruction - sponge bath with tap water, motrin, fluids - the fever finally went down to 100.4! He has been so pitiful today.

I gave him a popsicle to try and get the fever down - notice the red lips!

He is now 21.5 pounds and 30 inches long. BIG BOY!!!
