Mother of the year goes to...

NOT ME!!!!

I have failed, failed miserably! My child is still in diapers and he still takes a pacifier at naptime and night time. But...it's okay. I'm not worried. I was getting so frustrated with potty training that I decided it wasn't worth it. When he is ready, he will do it. The best advice I have been given is - wait until he's three. That's what I'm gonna do! It's not that he's not smart enough to do it, he just could care less. Warner would sit in a dirty diaper all day long if I let him. Most of the time he runs from me saying, "please don't change my diaper."

As far as the pacifier, I gave up. I mean if you could only see the enjoyment the child gets out of having that paci to go night night. He LOVES it!! Don't worry, there will come a time when enough is enough, but right now I'm okay with it.

So Sarah, there's your update. Don't come to me for advice!!

bye bye curls

I haven't posted anything in a while...we've just been relaxing, enjoying this lazy time of the year. Chris has been doing a few projects around the house - much appreciated! I love my handy man!!
The curls are gone for the time being...maybe they will return when his hair grows back. I was a little sad after this haircut..it is way short, but I know it will grow back. He looks so grown up in these pictures...not my little baby anymore.

this is what he did today when I got the camera out to take his picture...you can tell it had been a while since I last took a picture - he forgot what to do!!

Funny story:
We were snuggling the other afternoon after his nap...he is my little snuggler! I said "Warner, don't grow up." He said without skipping a beat, "I have to grow up."

focused...

One track mind...just like some other men in my family (you know who you are). I can't even get him to look up at me for a picture. I would say Santa Clause did real good this year. He has not left the train track since it arrived on Christmas morning. He can stand there for hours just playing, talking to his trains, making up games...I'll have to get it on video. He makes me sit in a chair on one side of the table and he sits on the other...he's my little buddy!

the hair is a little out of control - I've got to make another appointment to get his haircut...who knew it would grow so fast after that first haircut?

when he get's real focused the tongue comes out...

Can you tell the latest pictures I've put on here are with my new camera???

play-doh

I guess I've been a boring mom, but Warner had never played with play-doh until just a few days ago...It was a big hit!! Daddy is a bad influence and did things with it I wasn't very pleased with, but Warner LOVED it!

Happy New Year!!

We enjoyed a low key night...at home with our baby boy. We went over to the Stonestreet's house and shot fireworks, but Warner was more interested in Sam's train table...so he didn't watch too many fireworks. I think the daddies had the most fun with the fireworks! We were all in bed WAY before the ball dropped!

Today we've been enjoying the cold, but pretty weather.

Don't forget to eat your black-eyed peas!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
