The day after Christmas Buddy & Kissy arrived and we had a few presents that Santa had left for them. They got a little help opening their presents...Warner has really gotten good at unwrapping the paper!! We had a short, but great visit!! It was so nice to be able to see all our family over the Christmas holidays.

Christmas w/ the Johnson's

About 3 years ago (before children) we started this little tradition with Charles & Lesley - we get together before (or after) Christmas and have dinner & open presents. We usually try to cook something different and go all out - big dinner & dessert! It won't be long and Lucy Kate & Bryant will be running around with Warner & then we will really have our hands full!!

the theme of Warner's Christmas - TRAINS!!!

let the fun begin...

B & Mamaw sent Warner a few Chrismas presents in the mail...and since they arrived, Warner has been dying to open them. We finally gave in and let him open them the other night. Thank you Mamaw & B!!!

Pat & Gibson were able to stop by last week.....without baby Laurel :( . We had a little Christmas celebration...Warner got the cutest train conductor hat and t-shirt - very appropriate! Thank you Pat & Gibson!!!

We went to a cookie decorating party last week - it was a BIG mess! I should've just given him a cup of icing because I think that's all he ate!

we wish you a Merry Christmas...

Friday afternoon (Dec. 12) Warner had his 2nd annual cookie swap at his friend's Jack & Katie's house. He ate way too many cookies, had fun playing with his friends, and did everything he could to avoid Santa!

these are only 4 of the 20-25 children at the cookie swap - Katie (one of the hostesses), Lucy Kate, Bryant, & Warner. Waner goes straight for the babies where ever we go!!

trying to show Warner that Santa is not that bad....didn't work!

Sunday night (Dec. 14) Warner was in our children's program at church. He was one of the angel babies and got to come up to the front at the end and sing "We wish you a Merry Christmas". We practiced all day!! He didn't sing one word...

christmas baking & candy canes

Kissy is the BEST!! She traveled all this way to help me bake cakes for my friends...and pecan squares, and chex mix, and supper every night!! I couldn't have done it without her. I'm one lucky girl!!!

Here is Warner, also known as candy cane boy. Kissy brought candy canes with her, and I think Warner has had 2-3 a day since she's been here. And for someone who never eats candy, he has been one happy little boy!!

Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree...

This little boy LOVES the Christmas tree. He cannot keep his hands off of it...and every now and then he will take an ornament off the tree and bring it to me. He doesn't quite understand that the oranaments are suppose to STAY on the tree. We are loving this time of year - most importantly because daddy is home!!! The farming year has come to an end and we are enjoying spending lots of time as a family. We have a Christmas party every night this week...but, what a wonderful way to celebrate the birth of our Savior!

Potty training update: Ugh!! This is not easy!! Well, I guess it could be if I had a willing participant. The thing is - he knows what he's suppose to do...he can do it, but he refuses!! I have cleaned up so much tee tee!! I am taking a break and we will try again after Christmas.
