Happy Birthday Sam!!

It's seems like just yesterday we were in the waiting room waiting for Sam's arrival. I can't believe we were celebrating his 4th birthday Saturday!! He had the cutest super hero birthday party and everyone came dressed up. I found this cute cape and mask while we were on vacation in Colorado and it was perfect. Warner was super hero "W". Happy Birthday Sam!!

crayons & forts

Apparently Warner likes the taste of crayons. We usually use the crayola twistables for this very reason, but Warner found a bag of regular crayons and went to town with the yellow. Daddy had to use a toothpick to get it out of his teeth!!

silly boy!!

We had to say goodbye to the beautiful weather, and I had to get creative to entertain this busy boy! I use to LOVE to build a fort as a child, so I decided to build one for Warner and it was a hit! He even let mommy get in the fort with him...and when Buddy & Kissy called last night he wanted them to get in the fort with him too.

for my Valentines...

I made this delicious cake...red velvet with cream cheese icing....from scratch...for my Valentines. My mom always made us a heart shaped cake for Valentines growing up. I decided to carry on this little tradition with my family. She use to spell out "I love you" with red hots....but since M&M's are Warner's favorite I chose to use them instead. I thought it turned out pretty good. Thanks mom for the help. I think they liked it!!

No pictures to share of Kissy, but she was here all last week with us. It is always a treat to have my mom here - she spoils us! We filled my freezer with homemade spaghetti sauce, white chili, and chicken rotel!! She's the best!! Thank you mom!!!!!

"you're my best friend"

I'm finally catching up on my blogging - look below for 3 other posts.

I wish I could remember all the funny things that come out of this mouth. You really never know what he will say next! Every night after bath time we sit on the couch and snuggle, watch tv, play, talk...he looked up at me and said, "you're my best friend." How sweet is that?

Baby Laurel's B'day Party

This sweet little girl turned one year old last week. So, after flying in from Colorado on Tuesday, washing and repacking on Wednesday, Warner and I headed out Thursday morning to meet up with all the family.

Gibson planned such a cute party, made all the food, and even had an activity for the big kids. It was a great party, and Laurel was the cutest birthday girl.

Happy Birthday baby Laurel!!!

Laurel had more than a little help from her cousins opening her present. There are 6 girls (counting Laurel) on Gibson's side of the family - Warner was a little outnumbered!!

Saturday was also Kissy's birthday. Happy Birthday Kissy!!

Laurin & Lennox

While in Hattiesburg for Laurel's birthday party I finally got to meet precious baby Lennox. Laurin and I go way back to freshman year at State. She is a great friend and I love when we are able to get together.

Warner was in his own world - I think he was annoyed that he had to leave his trains for a picture.

Isn't he a cutie!!

Breckenridge, Colorado

A couple of weeks ago we took a little vacation with our good friends Charles & Lesley. It was wonderful!! I was very hesitant about leaving Warner for 4 nights - the longest I've ever been away from him was 2 nights. I missed him so much, but I think it was good for me to have a little time to myself. I came back recharged and ready to resume my mommy duties.

Breckenridge was beautiful!! I had been once before with Chris' family, but that had been about 9 years ago. The weather was great - we even got to see a little snow falling...and of course there was snow everywhere. Something we are not use to - I slipped a lot! We did it all - skiing, shopping, eating, relaxing, pampering. Lesely and I had a little afternoon at the spa - we each got a body scrub and I had a much needed pedicure. It was heavenly! We asked around every where we went about good places to eat. We got some great advice and ended up eating at a lot of local favorites. We had plans to cook a lot, but Charles & Chris decided we were on vacation after all...

Thank you JoJo and Pops for taking such good care of our little boy!! He is still talking about the Mississippi State basketball game they took him to.

Now for some pictures!

poor Chris had to stay on mostly greens with the amateurs...

this was our awesome house we rented - Chris & Lesley did such a good job picking this. It was beautiful and perfect - with a pool table and hot tub!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAUREL
