On the last Sunday in April of every year, Chris' grandmother's side - the Douglas family - has a family reunion. We enjoyed lots of food, lots of children, and lots of catching up!
No highchairs at the Shriner's Club so daddy had to feed me on the table.

Cookout
We went over to Chris' parents house yesterday afternoon to play with cousins and have a cookout. It was such a beautiful day and the kids loved playing outside.

riding the golf cart with Mason
my big boy loves the steering wheel
taking a bath with Mason
Warner loves to play with the water coming out of the faucet - last night during this bath he decided to drink the water as it was coming up and scared his mommy to death!!

Swinging
We took Warner to the park yesterday to do a little swinging. The higher he went, the harder he laughed. We even went down the slide a couple of times. I can tell we will be spending many afternoons playing at the park.

Our Little Republican
Kissy arrived yesterday with several gifts for Warner - his very first pair of Crocs and a bathing suit with matching hat. So cute!! The crocs are still a little big, but maybe by the time we go to the beach in June they will fit. She also had a very special gift that Buddy picked out for Warner. I was so impressed!!! Buddy saw this in a store in Dallas and just couldn't resist.
CHEESE!!! Warner's new trick - he smiles for the camera!!

Kissy's HERE!!!
Kissy arrived this afternoon after driving through lots and lots of rain. Warner waited for her at the door and when he saw her through the glass he got so excited. It had been a month since my mom had seen him so she was just as thrilled.

THRUSH
Who knew that at 11 months of age a baby can still get thrush. A trip to the Dr. this afternoon confirmed that yes indeed Warner has thrush. She coated his mouth really good with a purple medication and put him on antibiotics for a week. I also have to soak all nipples and pacifiers in a vinegar and water mixture for 10 minutes before sanitizing them in boiling water. The purple dye was all over his hands, face, sheets, clothes, and toys by the end of the day. In the last picture you can see the big hand print left on his head from when he was napping this afternoon. His mouth was still purple when I put him in the bed tonight.
I don't know why it surprises me that he would have a fungus growing in his mouth - this little boy puts EVERYTHING is his mouth, including bird droppings. Oh yes, one afternoon last week while playing outside I look over to see him munching on something and after further inspection I find that he has not one, but 2 big chunks of bird poop in his mouth.

Happy Birthday Charles!!
Lesley planned a surprise birthday party/crawfish boil last night for Charles. It was so much fun and a great way to get everyone together. Even though he was not surprised, I think he still had a great time!
