I had what was my last OB appointment (but didn't know it). Chris and I were sitting at home - it was a Tuesday night - and I was feeling a little funny. We called my brother-in-law who is an OBGYN, and he instructed me to walk, walk, walk. So, that's what I did. Chris had me walking in circles around our house. I literally walked around in our house for about 30 minutes - ridiculous!! I went to bed that night just like I had every night and set my alarm to get up for work the next day. At 2:00am I had this sudden urge to get out of bed to use the restroom. On my way to the bathroom - GUSH!!!! My water broke - and it is true what they say, there is no mistaking it. I yell at Chris that my water just broke and we need to go to the hospital. He is up with clothes on, bags in hand in less than 30 seconds. I'm still trying to figure out how to put on clothes while I have a constant stream flowing.
We made it to the hospital and awaited the arrival of our son. We had no idea of the excitement and joy that was ahead of us!!
I was so swollen!
More pictures to come tomorrow as the festivities are started. I had no idea I would be this sad about my baby turning one year old. I think there will probably be some tears shed tomorrow - I'm so happy that he has reached this milestone and is growing and learning new things every day, but I had no idea the first year would go by so fast!!
