welcome to the world Emma!

While we were on vacation little Emma Moore Johnson made her big debut. I was so sick I missed it, and I could not get to the hospital fast enough to meet her. She is absolutely precious! Congratulations Charles, Lesley, Lucy Kate, & Bryant.

The oil scared us away, and we decided on Plan B for our family vacation this year. Gibson's parents graciously offered their house on Smith Lake, and it was absolutely perfect! We had a week of relaxation, eating, swimming, tubing, boating, and chasing children. Thank you Buddy & Kissy for a wonderful vacation!!

Jackson at 10 months...

• you have 4 teeth
• you are crawling and pulling up on everything
• you started cruising around the furniture and want to let go
• you will hold on to one of our hands and walk around the room
• you can destroy a room in seconds - opening drawers and taking everything out, unpacking bags, and pulling things out of cabinets
• you are a screamer - if you can't reach something, you scream...if you want down, you scream...what am I going to do about this??
• you are the hardest person to feed. You have to follow every bite with your thumb.
• you have the best smile and love to show it off
• your hair is one of my favorite features - it is thick in the back, kinda crazy, and so very blonde!
• you still love your brother and want to be wherever he is
• you are still going to bed at 6:00 and waking up between 6:30 and 7:00
• you love to eat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are happiest with a Mum Mum in your hand.
• you are a biter...I know it's because you're teething, but it hurts!
• you just started grinding your teeth together and it is worse than fingernails on a chalk board!
• you are still having ear infection and we have an appointment this week with the ENT so you will probably have tubes before your first birthday
• you love to climb! The ladies in the church nursery turned their back for a minute and you had climbed up the stairs of the little slide and you were sitting at the top.
• you are always standing up in your crib when I go into to get you and you have recently started jumping up and down while holding on to the rail.
• I love when you crawl over to me, sit back on your knees and put your arms in the air for me to pick you up.
• it is almost impossible to change your diaper
• there was a time when I could rock you before putting you in the bed...now it is almost like wrestling a bear!
• I can't believe that in just 2 months we will be celebrating your first year of life....you are growing up too fast!!
• I am so thankful for your little life!

10 months old

Somebody turned 10 months old yesterday!!!

kepler & dax's birthday party

A couple of weeks ago we traveled to Alabama to celebrate Kepler's 4th birthday and Dax's 3rd birthday. They had the cutest super hero swimming party. Warner got to hang out with his cousins for the day and had so much fun!

1st weeks of summer

I took both boys out to eat for lunch by myself for the first time. It was a little bit of challenge standing in line to order, getting a table & high chair, sending Warner to the bathroom alone since I couldn't leave Jackson alone at the table....but they were both so good and I hope we will be doing lots more of this together.

Warner finished t-ball and really got into it toward the end...meaning he started really paying attention instead of playing in the dirt! Daddy did a great job of coaching.

Warner attended his first of three bible schools and LOVED it! We can't go anywhere in the car without listening to his "bible school music".

Warner took swimming lessons and did so good.

9 months & 4 years

I took Warner and Jackson to the children's clinic this afternoon for their check-ups. I know that moms of more than two kids will probably roll their eyes at this (Michelle) - but I feel like I need a prize after that visit! It really wouldn't have been so bad...but Warner got 5 shots..yes, FIVE!! I knew there were shots involved, but I had no idea it would be so many. It was horrible!!!!

When he saw the nurse come in with a tray full of shots, he hid under a chair and 2 of them had to pry his hands from the death grip he had on the legs of the chair. He was screaming, "mommy, mommy!!!" I wanted to cry!! I think the aticipation was worse than the actual shots because after they were over, he was fine. I'm just glad that's behind us!!

Warner weighs 38 lbs and is 41 inches tall.

Jackson weighs 21 lbs 8 oz and is 28 1/2 inches tall.
