Funny Story!!

Warner LOVES keys! He can spot them a mile away and starts saying, "keys, keys" - it actually comes out more like "teas, teas". So every once in a while when he's being very fussy or needs to be entertained we will let him play with our keys. Last weekend Chris gave Warner my keys and they have been missing ever since. We have searched EVERYWHERE!!! We have literally torn our house apart looking for these keys. Thankfully I have a spare for my car or we would've really been in trouble. I have kinda just given up on finding them - hoping that when we get our house back in order after this remodel (our bedroom furniture is currently in our living room!) that maybe they will just turn up. Chris, on the other hand, has not given up. He has not stopped looking for my keys. So tonight as he was one of his hunts for the keys, he decided to look in the air vent in our bathroom -that currently does not have a cover over it due to the remodeling. He gets a flash light and finds what looks like part of my keys - after further inspection and a very difficult time getting them out they are now back in my possession!! NOTE TO SELF: do not let Warner out of my site with my keys in his hands!!

Daddy's Boy

20 MONTHS!!

My darling boo boo how can I make you stop growing?? I no longer have a little baby - you are such a little boy. You don't NEED me as much as you use to and it breaks my heart. You love to go with daddy or JoJo & Pops and quickly kiss me and tell me with such enthusiasm - "BYE BYE." Ugh, what happened to the days when nobody would do but mommy? You are learning so fast - your new favorite things are book & puzzles - you want to read the same 5 books over and over, and mommy will keep reading them to you! You have successfully completed the same puzzles 1 million times and you still love it and clap your hands so big when you finish. You LOVE the mud - thanks to daddy! I hope the neighbors don't think we beat you after the fit you threw when I went to get you out of the mud. You have the sweetest voice & I love the way words come out of your mouth - you decided to change Buddy's name this month and so he is now Bu Bu instead of Buddy - he doesn't mind a bit! I can already tell you are going to be a little handy man just like daddy - you love to "build" things in your fire house and work for hours on putting things together. You get so excited when you get one of daddy's real tools in your hands, but that excitement doesn't last long because daddy doesn't think that's such a good idea! You are constantly putting your hands down your diaper. I have to keep pants on you because you will put your hands down your diaper and eventually rip the diaper completely off. I went in to get you out of your crib one morning last week and you were covered in poo poo!! You had been playing with your hands down your diaper - YUCK!! I hope that's the last time I have to experience that! You are truly GROWING before our eyes. You weigh 28 pounds! No wonder my back aches at the end of the day! You still love your bath - and you know right when it's over that it's time to brush your teeth, then put on PJ's, then drink your milk, then go night night. You LOVE your little routine! Naptime has been disrupted with the construction going on at our house this month and you are not happy about it! The days you have gotten your full nap you have slept from 3-4 hours to make up for lost sleep, and one night you were so sleepy you took my hand and led me to your room and wanted me to put you in your bed. You are just like your mommy & daddy - you need your sleep!! Every night I pray for you and thank God for your little life - for such a little person you sure do bring SO MUCH joy to our life. WE LOVE YOU!!

Bloggin' Break

I have been on a bloggin' break due to a very large project we have going on at our house. We have been wanting to redo our master bathroom since we moved in our house 2 years ago. We've been saving & saving and finally Chris agreed to take on the project this winter while he's off. Well, we started last weekend and already we have decided to do more than we had planned. We are tearing down walls, putting in more lights, moving plumbing - it has turned into a VERY BIG project!! I'm so lucky to have such a handy man!! Here are some pictures of the demolition...

This little boy has been a handful the last few days - trying to keep him out of the bedroom has been impossible. He wants to be right where daddy is. He puts on Chris' safety goggles and gets his tools - he thinks he's daddy's little helper. (notice the newest bump between his eyes - he ran into the corner of our bed yesterday - OUCH!)

Warner is LOVING to read - he will sit and read book, after book, after book - he points to everything and wants to know what it is - and then he tries to say it!

"After Christmas" Christmas Party!!

Last night we had our annual graduate class Christmas party. There were 16 girls total in our class, but these are some of the girls that live close by or were in town during the holidays. When you go through something as challenging as we did together it's hard not to form a special bond!! I love how we can pick up right where we left off!! We are all so happy we aren't in grad school anymore, but so thankful for the friends we made.
