ALL ABOARD!!

We celebrated Warner's third birthday last Saturday with a choo choo birthday party. The weather was not so good, but the rain stopped for about 30 minutes - just long enough for everyone to ride the train.

It turned out to be a perfect party..and Warner was a happy little boy!

We are in Dallas visiting my parents this week...I'll add more pictures of the party when we get back home.

Happy 3rd Birthday Warner

I remember the moment he was born like it was yesterday. All we could do was just stare at him - he was our miracle. Finally the nurse said, "well, aren't you going to take a picture?" We were in awe of this perfect gift from God. We are still so thankful for this precious little boy. He made me a mommy - something I had dreamed of all my life.

He took cupcakes to the nursery at church and they gave him a special hat and sticker to wear. When he gets up from his nap we're going to open his present from us - a slip and slide - and let him try it out....should be interesting!

what a treat!!

Pat, Gibson and Laurel stopped through on there way to Texas and spent the night with us last night. Laurel got to wake Warner up from his nap yesterday and he was sooo excited!! He loves this little girl so much! And they were all here this morning to help us celebrate his birthday. We had such a great visit. We'll see them again next weekend for the birthday party and we are already counting down the days.

my almost 3 year old...

How can it be?? My BABY will be 3 years old in exactly one week from today!! Even though I do not like that he is getting older - I think as a mom, it gets better and better the older they get. I love this little boy more than words can describe!! This week he has made me so proud - this week has been the dreaded "potty training week"!! I have been putting it off and putting it off....and I think the anticipation was much worse than actually doing it. Monday morning we woke up and took our diaper off and have not turned back!!

Has it been easy? NO. It has probably been the hardest thing I've had to do so far as a mom. It is just constant - "Warner, do you have to tee tee?", "Warner, don't tee tee in your underwear.", "Warner, let's go to the potty." He has done so so well. The first 2 days we had zero accidents. The last few days (as he is getting over the initial excitement of it all) we have had about one accident a day. I am so so proud of him!! I am so excited to go to Walmart and not have to buy diapers (for a little while anyway!).

On a different note...we've had a lot of rain. I mean, A LOT of rain!! It has rained everyday for a week and there is a chance of rain everyday next week. Ugh!! I can't even let Warner out the door without him coming back looking like this...

I've been doing lots of laundry to say the least!! He is all boy...and finds the nearest mud puddle and rolls in it. It makes him so happy, so I just let him go for it.

Last, but not least, Happy Mother's Day to Kissy and JoJo!! We love you so much and do not deserve half of what you do for us!!

meet our miracle

This is the best I could do...and yes, I took a picture of a picture because I do not have a scanner. This is the best profile picture we have gotten...taken at about 14 weeks. I have lots & lots of his privates...but I don't think I will be putting those on the blog. Let's just say he is definitely a BOY!!! We are in love!! I can't wait to hold this precious baby!!

Jackson McCraw Lively

We will call him Jackson. Jackson is a name we both have always liked, but I do have 2 uncle Jack's on my side of the family. McCraw is my grandmother's maiden name.

I am still feeling great. Jackson is an active little boy and I am loving all the kicks. Warner is coming around too - at first he would totally ignore us if we tried to ask him about his baby brother. Now he will tell you "baby Jackson is in mommy's tummy". He is going to be a great big brother!!
