Every month Warner learns 2 bible verses at school. I pray that he keeps these words in his heart forever and that they become more than just a fun song he learns at school. I love his school and am so thankful for his teachers...and the time they take to love on these children and teach them about Jesus.

bath time
Last night I attempted to give the boys a bath together. I thought it was the way to go since daddy was working - I can get them both bathed at the same time. Well....Warner was splashing, Jackson was screaming, and I was just plain worn out!! I think I'll go back to seperate baths for now...

Brandy Jaggers Photography
At the beginning of September - 1 week after Jackson's birth - we had some pictures taken at our home. I got the proofs and CD in the mail yesterday and I wanted to share. I was so pleased!! Brandy did a wonderful job of documenting this special newborn stage...something I would have never been able to capture myself. Check her out at brandyjaggersphotography.com.

6 (almost 7) weeks
when it's time to change a diaper, big brother is not too far behind
somebody wanted their picture taken too
I can't believe 6 weeks have already past. It's seems like with the 2nd baby time goes by even faster. Jackson is such a joy, and we are loving every minute of being a family of four!
At 6 weeks Jackson is....
- holding his head up very well
- going 7 hours between the first and second feeding of the night - mommy is getting some sleep!
- SMILING - big open mouth smiles
- loving his bath - his favorite time of day
- still eating every 3 hours during the day
- still loving the swaddle...or should I say mommy is loving it because he sleeps so well when he's swaddled (we use The Miracle Blanket)
- grabbing onto my hair when I'm holding him - he usually has a peice of my hair in each hand
- finally getting some relief from a clogged tear duct in his left eye that he's had for almost 5 weeks
- 12 lbs, 1oz - can you believe that? I was shocked yesterday at the doctor when the nurse weighed him!
- in size 2 diapers
- wearing 3-6 month clothes, some 6-12
- constantly being loved on (attacked) by his big brother

laurel comes to visit
Since my parents were in town this weekend, Pat & Gibson asked if they would babysit Laurel at my house while they went to the Ole Miss game. Warner was sooo excited!! He loves this little girl so much and they have so much fun together. Even with the age difference they play so well together - they are constantly laughing! Laurel just tags right along with him and tries to do whatever he does - monkey see, monkey do. We sent this first picture to her parents on Friday night - ha ha! I think it was her first time to have a popsicle all by herself, and on top of that she had 2 at one time. She would lick one and then go to the other - this smile never left her face!

peek-a-boo
This kid is either cracking me up...or making me go insane these days!! Everything is "few more minutes" - no matter what! Especially used at bedtime. He took a ribbbon off a present that was given to us and had it wrapped around his neck. I was telling him how dangerous that is and how he never needed to put anything around his neck because he could strangle himself. He responds with, "last night (everything is last night- no matter when it happened) Frosty put a scarf around his neck." Um...we read that book about a week ago!! He remembered that Frosty the Snowman had a scarf around his neck! I took the ribbon and tied it around his head and said he could be a superhero. Well, my sister-in-law Gibson wears scarfs in her hair all the time - so Warner said, "I want to be a superhero like Gibson." He is a mess!!
He wanted to take a screwdriver to show & tell this morning, so we let him...I'm sure his teacher appreciated that. I would love to be a fly on the wall to hear what he told his class about the screwdriver!
